Biography
Sue Cave trained at Grimsby School of Art and Kingston-on-Thames College of Art and Design. On completing a BA Hons in Fine Art, she moved to Oxford and has lived and worked in Oxfordshire ever since.

- 1971: won the Hilden Travel award and travelled to Egypt
Commissions
- 1973: Commission for a mural/painting for Grimsby Parish Church
- 1974: Commissioned to paint a clavicord for Mrs Robert Goble
- 1976: Commissioned to paint a harpsichord lid and soundboard (The Dreaming Spires) for Robert Goble & Son, Oxford (exhibited at the Early Music Festival, London, and Bruges International Early Music Festival)
- 1979: Malvern Hills & Priory harpsichord lid and soundboard
- 1984: Rousham Gardens harpsichord lid and soundboard
- 2000: Commissioned to paint a new harpsichord for Magdalen College, Oxford
- 2006: Commissioned by Robert Gilchrist to decorate a harpsichord case (based on Italian seventeenth century instrument
